
The grand reopening of the newly renovated Saline District Library was featured in The Sun Times News. Quinn Evans team members and the Saline District Library Director emphasized the improvements that have transformed the library into a more welcoming and inclusive space for all.
A big part of our strategic plan was to offer an accessible and welcoming environment for all members of our community. The focus is on community and so much more. I’m just so excited.

Located in Saline, Michigan, the Saline District Library officially welcomed the community on February 15. It hosted an open house to celebrate the completion of the three-phase project that began construction in June of 2024.
What excited us the most about this project was finding a way to transform the library while they could still remain open and serve the community.

The 33,000 sf library renovation optimizes indoor and outdoor spaces to better serve patrons of all ages. The interior features new finishes, a ceiling design with LED lights, and updated adult, youth, and circulation desks. The space is outfitted with new furniture and a redesigned layout emphasizes the view of the outdoors, while expanded program and study rooms, a new common area, and the relocation of the Friends of the Library Corner Book Shop further enhance the space.
We added the organically shaped wood soffits on the ceiling which draws the eye to follow, like the flow of a river. Looking down, you can see the mimic of the ceiling and how it wraps around on the different tones of carpet.

Additional key updates incorporate inclusive features such as a gender-neutral restroom, an adult changing table, and a wellness room for staff. Outdoors, a new pavilion for programs and a story walk path with extra seating create engaging, accessible spaces for visitors.
