Quinn Evans’ restoration of Michigan Central Station was featured on PBS NewsHour’s CANVAS series, with insights from principal Richard Hess, AIA.

The segment highlights our efforts to transform the iconic train station. From the careful restoration of original materials like the original Tennessee rose-colored marble to paying homage to its historic use with features such as the “ghost benches” in the Main Waiting Room, Rich explained how areas left untouched also serve as visual reminders of the station’s years of abandonment.

We're telling the story of Michigan Central Station not just the way it was 100 years ago, but also what happened to Michigan Central during its time that it was abandoned was really important.
