Quinn Evans Promotes Three to Senior Associate and Two to Associate

Our new senior associates are Julie Gerber, CID, LEED AP ID+C; Kylan Shirley, AIA, LEED AP; and Maureen Vosmek, Fitwel Amb.

Quinn Evans, a leading planning and design firm, has promoted three professionals to senior associate and two to associate.

Julie Gerber, CID, LEED AP ID+C, has been promoted to senior associate. An interior designer in the Richmond office, Julie’s recent work has involved creating cutting-edge workspaces for state and federal government clients, including the renewal of Richmond’s Old City Hall. She is currently designing interiors for the new Miller Bailey Center and Early Childhood Development Center in Newport News, Virginia. Julie is a Certified Interior Designer and a LEED Accredited Professional (Interior Design + Construction). She holds a Bachelor of Science in interior design from Virginia Tech.

Kylan Shirley, AIA, LEED AP, has been promoted to senior associate. Since joining Quinn Evans’ Richmond office in 2006, Kylan has become an accomplished project manager specializing in complex renovations of educational facilities. Standout projects in his portfolio include the renovation of Courtland High School and the adaptive reuse of a historic residence to serve as the Maymont Foundation Headquarters. He is currently overseeing the rebuilding of Richmond’s Fox Elementary School after a devastating fire. Kylan is a registered architect and a LEED Accredited Professional. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech.

Maureen Vosmek, Fitwel Amb., has been promoted to senior associate. Maureen has been with Quinn Evans since 2008 and serves as the firm’s co-Chief Design Officer. She has made significant contributions to monumental projects in Washington, DC, including the renewal of Arlington Memorial Bridge and the ongoing modernization of the National Air and Space Museum. Maureen is a Fitwel Ambassador. She holds a Master of Architecture and Master of Historic Preservation from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts in art history and studio art from Franklin and Marshall College.

Julia Manglitz, AIA, LEED AP, has been promoted to associate. She joined Quinn Evans last year as a senior preservation architect, bringing more than 25 years of experience in historic preservation and project management. Since joining the firm Julia has focused on exterior restoration projects for the Architect of the Capitol. She is a registered architect, a LEED Accredited Professional, and an active member of the Association for Preservation Technology International, for which she currently serves on the executive committee. Julia holds a Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from the University of Kansas.

Will Rohde, AIA, CPHC, has been promoted to associate. A senior architect in Quinn Evans’ Baltimore office, Will is playing a key role in the redevelopment of Baltimore Penn Station. He also contributed to the newly opened East Columbia 50+ Center and Coppin State University College of Business. Will is a registered architect, a Certified Passive House Consultant, and a member of the Urban Land Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Cooper Union.
