The Construction Association of Michigan (CAM) has named Michigan Central Station as the 2024 CAM Magazine Project of the Year.
Announced at CAM’s 139th Annual Meeting on February 12, the project was recognized for its monumental restoration effort. The transformation required 1.7 million work hours and 3,100 skilled workers to repair Guastavino tile ceilings, source original limestone, and overcome numerous challenges to restore this landmark for the city of Detroit. The project was also previously featured in CAM Magazine’s October 2024 issue.
Their dedication to preserving Detroit's architectural heritage has breathed new life into this landmark, leaving an enduring mark on the city's story.
