Beth Barrett, AIA, AANB, and Leora Mirvish, FAIA, LEED AP BD+C, share their expertise in accessibility and inclusive design for performing spaces in the winter issue of Protocol from the Entertainment Services and Technology Association.

The piece highlights Quinn Evans’ work at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, including major renovations of its four largest venues: the Concert Hall, Opera House, Eisenhower Theater, and Terrace Theater. Together, these projects trace over three decades of development in accessibility, evolving from compliance with the then-new Americans with Disabilities Act to a broader, human-centered approach.
