Seminar Goals

Provide a 1-hour maximum seminar that relates to QE’s overall strategic plans and technical design needs, including trends and best practices in building systems and technology, data-based solutions, construction methods and field applications. QE places the highest emphasis on sustainable practices and products across all categories and may prioritize presentations aligned with this focus.

Expectations

Seminars shall include a general introduction to your field. We aim to host presenters who can speak authoritatively for their area of expertise and who can present information to the QE technical staff that will help them make design and technical judgements for their projects.  In these seminars, specific products and manufacturers are de-emphasized (as in accordance with the AIA standards for Learning Units).

Each presentation inquiry will be reviewed by the QE Education Committee to determine alignment with QE's goals and scheduling options.

Is this inquiry related specifically to a QE staff member or project request?

3. Presentation Format

Are you requesting to present locally to a particular office or virtually to all offices?

4. Continuing Education Credit

Does your seminar provide continuing education credits? If not, QE can still apply for these credits. Preference will be given to courses that are previously approved, that provide HSW, and/or may be independently submitted by attendees for sustainability credential maintenance.

5. Presentation Objectives

Provide a brief outline of your presentation and identify four learning objectives.  Learning objectives should be a clear statement of what knowledge or skill will be learned from taking the course.
