Lauren’s work is founded in her background in studio art and graphic design, as well as her love of historic buildings. As part of the project team for the restoration of Minoru Yamasaki’s reflecting pool at Wayne State University, Lauren enjoyed the challenge of finding the balance between restoring the character-defining features of the structure and utilizing modern technology to ensure its functional and aesthetic longevity. She believes the opportunity to restore and preserve important structures is a valuable one as the built environment is integral to the social fabric of communities.
