David Benn, AIA, LEED AP and Diane Cho, AIA are interviewed by Ed Gunts in a feature for Baltimore Citybizlist.
As part of this 3-part interview, David and Diane discuss the history and expertise of Baltimore-based Cho Benn Holback + Associates as well as their recent acquisition by renowned architecture firm, Quinn Evans Architects. Both David and Diane are now Principals at QEA.
The interview explores the decisions behind the big move. They attribute the merger in part to a longtime friendship between AIA 2018 President Elect and QEA Principal Carl Elefante, FAIA and CBH+A Principal, George Holback, AIA, LEED AP. But what really brings together these two talented firms is their synergistic practices which focus on historic preservation, adaptive reuse, culture and learning. QEA President Larry Barr, AIA echoed this idea in an open letter announcing the merger last month: “In many ways, our studio cultures, portfolios, skills, and aspirations as designers are closely aligned, along with the high value we place on our client relationships.”
